Welcome to Macau 2000

First, head for Macau's most famous site, the Ruins of St. Paul's. You will only see the facade, staircase, and a few of the walls because it burned in 1835. There is also a religious museum that opened in 1996 that contains the bones of Japanese and Vietnamese martyrs, religious art, and a model of the original church. The church is thought to have been designed by Italian Jesuits in the early 17th century. They also built the Monte Fort, which was attacked by a Dutch fleet when it was half . (Macau)
